Pashyanti School of Kathak was founded by Wendy in 1998 in Fairfield, Iowa, to teach traditional Kathak.  Group and Private Lessons. Kathak is India's most improvisational dance form. Within it's traditions there is room for individual expression. Wendy also tailors classes for those who want to use its beautiful movements in their own dance style.  Kathak goes beyond its ethnic form and at Pashyanti we also choreograph fusion pieces that explore an ancient yet modern dance art. 

Our school holds annual recitals and children have an opportunity to perform throughout the year and to participate in the creation of new dances.  Classes for young students have a "free dance" period to allow for freedom of expression and confidence.
